Hook Your Children With Family Fishing Adventures
July 28, 2022Although well-known for great boating, fishing, and hiking, scenic Anne Arundel County also offers gorgeous golfing greens. The three wonderful 18-hole golf courses discussed below, Bay Hills Golf Club, The Preserve at Eisenhower Golf Course, and Renditions Golf Course, are open to the public.
Bay Hills Golf Club
Located in Arnold, Bay Hills Golf Club boasts bent-grass tiered greens and wide fairways of zoysia grass. Constructed on the coastal hills of Maryland, golfers will require precision for almost every shot to attain a level lie on most holes or otherwise land on rolling terrain.
Opened in 1969, Bay Hills was designed by Ed Ault, a golf course architect who left his mark on many a countryside. The dress code mandates collared shirts and no cut-off shorts. They want you to look good when you have a cocktail at the 19th Hole Grill.
The Preserve at Eisenhower Golf Course
Situated in Crownsville, the Eisenhower Golf Course was also designed by Ed Ault. Recently renovated, the fairways and greens are now in first-class turf condition, all to USGA specifications. Traditional sand traps also have been replaced by strategically placed knolls.
Located on woodlands of 220 acres, the fairways feature forest buffers between them, and water hazards will challenge every golfer. Named “Ike” tees after the late president and war hero, they measure from 4,884 yards from the forward tees to 6,659 yards from the back. Collared shirts are required by the dress code.
Renditions Golf Course
Located in Davidsonville, Renditions pays tribute to the golfing universe’s greatest holes around the world. Featuring 18 holes that takes inspiration from men’s Grand Slam courses such as Augusta, Oakmont, Shinnecock Hills, Royal Lytham & St. Annes, Royal Birkdale, etc.
One day of golfing at Renditions will let you live vicariously in the shoes of golfing greats like Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, Lee Trevino, Tom Watson, Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman, Phil Mickelson, and Tiger Woods. Dress code requires a collared golf shirt, dress slacks or Bermuda length shorts.
