Annapolis is considered one of the most haunted places in the United States. The capital of Maryland’s historic district has seen spirits even before the Declaration of Independence in 1776. Annapolis has been spooked by ghosts for centuries, and all of them make sure that every Halloween is as terrifying as possible.
If you like your scares in the countryside, the Halloween Happening will be perfect for you! Held for more than 30 years, the event offers visitors lost trips inside corn mazes, a meat locker filled with creepy critters, a terrifying Pumpkin Head, and delicious snacks and beverages at the Ghoul’s Cafe.
Attendees will be scared out of their wits by scary surprises. Halloween Happening is full of animatronic and human fright artists lying in wait to frighten visitors when they come too near.
Children will love cruising on the haunted hayride and exploring the haunted barn. You and your family can prove that you survived this frightful day by bringing home souvenir commemorative Halloween Happening t-shirts.
Halloween Happening is an Annapolis area favorite that is affordable for the whole family. General admission will give you access to the haunted maze, haunted house, and haunted hayride.
Tickets for kids under six are free. There is free parking at the county fairgrounds.
Dates (Friday to Sunday): October 14-16, 21-23, and 28-30
