4th of July Parade

Tuesday, July 4, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

You, your loved ones, and your friends are welcome to enjoy Annapolis’ annual patriotic celebration of American independence. Be entertained by the marching bands, fire engines, classic cars, dance troupes, scouts, and service clubs participating.

The parade starts on West Street at Amos Garrett, continues on Main Street, and ends at City Dock. Most every spot along the way offers good views. However, come early to reserve a good place because it will get crowded.

4th of July Fireworks

Tuesday, July 4, 8 p.m. to 9:45 p.m.

A barge anchored in Annapolis Harbor will launch fireworks into the sky over the water. You can get a great view of the pyrotechnics by laying your blanket or setting up your chair at City Dock, on the street-end parks facing Spa Creek, in the public areas northeast of Severn River, or along Naval Academy Bridge.

We recommend arriving very early. Parking will be tough to find close to prime locations. Spa Creek Bridge will be closed to traffic from Eastport headed to Annapolis from 6 to 10 p.m. The nearer you are to downtown, the more challenging parking will be. It will also be difficult to leave after the fireworks show.
