Running along the historic route of the Annapolis and Baltimore Short Line railroad line, the paved B&A trail stretches for a lengthy 13.3 miles. This day-long hike will course through historic neighborhoods, parks, and woods, giving you a chance to enjoy peace and quiet.
All contained within Broad Creek Park, this 4.7-mile looped trail has several hills and elevates to 518 feet. For those who love solitude, this trail is the ideal location to escape the hustle and bustle and commune with nature. You will be treated to peaceful views of a stream and a small lake. Dogs are permitted on leashes.
Found near the United States Naval Academy Golf Club, this hiking trail will delight hikers with views of wildflowers blooming in every color. The Greenbury Point Trail runs for 3.1 miles, and leashed dogs are allowed on this unpaved hike. Visitors can also take advantage of the nature center to learn more about flora and fauna of the area.
This nearly 8-mile-long hike through residential areas is meant for people who are in good condition because the looped trail will challenge you with several hills. However, halfway through, a park offers tired hikers a pleasant place to rest. You can walk your best friend on a leash if you are a dog owner.
Running for 5.1 miles, this paved looped trail is an enjoyable hike for fitness lovers and dog walkers. Quiet Waters Park lives up to its name as a placid place perched on the South River. Nature lovers will love the hike’s aviary for bird lovers, beautiful gardens, woods, and deer in the early morning or twilight hours.
